In the old American motion picture Ship of Fools (1965) telling a story about a group of international passengers on an ocean liner and how they anticipate Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, there is a remarkable dialog between two passengers about who is to blame for all problems in Germany. “Jews and cyclists”, says one passenger. Another passenger asks: “Why are cyclists?” “Why are Jews?” replies the first one.
Everyone in America knows precisely who is to blame for the War in Iraq - President Bush. In the Islamic World everyone knows that there are two who are to blame for every problem in the Middle East: Jews and president Bush. However, in the final analysis, there is one more category of people that should be blamed for all problems in the World, as much as Jews and Bush: they are cyclists in America and American Cycling Association (ACA) supporting them.
You may ask “Why are cyclists?” Here is the rational. Cyclists while riding their bicycles do not use cars. Therefore, they are not consuming gasoline. Consequently, they do not have to contribute almost 60 cents on each dollar going to such world producers of oil, as Iran, Venezuela, and all others. Thus, cyclists in the United States persistently destabilize national economies of the world producers of oil who hate the United States.
Because of not getting paid from cyclists, those countries producers of oil become very irritated. American cyclists provoke them to make threats with reanimation of “Berlin wall”, sending more illegal immigrants to the United States, and “spectacular” terrorists acts with Weapons of Mass Destruction on the American soil.
In the light of growing animosity toward the United States all over the World caused by cyclists, and in order to improve image of the United States on the world arena all open minded Americans must join national anti-bicycle campaign led by rev. Jesse Jackson and the best friend of Hugo Chavez Cindy Sheehan with a demand from the U.S. Congress to pass new laws forbidding bicycles on all American roads.
President Bush will, of course, veto this vital anti-bicycle law, because he enjoys riding a bicycle himself. Now Sen. Boxer, Jane Fonda, and Seen Penn will have enough ground for impeachment of President Bush for "bicycle conspiracy undermining political and economic stability of the World". And Rev. Al Sharpton together with Rosie O’Donnell will passionately demonstrate triumph of democracy in the United States.
