Abridging the freedom of speech

"...critics of Islam sometimes push the envelope of good taste. Other times they cross it, thus damaging their own cause. Governments, however, should keep to the sidelines and let the marketplace of ideas play itself out to the greatest extent possible."

Critics of Islam Face the Speech Police
By R. John Matthies

Ravaged by cancer, journalist Oriana Fallaci summoned her remaining strength in 2005 and 2006 to battle a cancer ravaging the West: censorship. Sadly, she did not live long enough to defend herself against the charges of "defaming Islam" that had been leveled against her by an Italian court. Continued...

Major strategic blow on American power

The 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing was a suicide bombing against the United States Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on April 18, 1983 that killed over 60 people.

Remembering the Beirut Embassy Bombing:
April 18, 1983

Twenty-five years ago today a late model GMC truck packed with explosives slammed into the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and crashing through the lobby door. In his memoir See No Evil former CIA operative Robert Baer, who devoted much of this career to identifying the perpetrators of the bombing, “Even by Beirut standards, it was an enormous blast…” Continued...

Let's not declare allegiance with the enemies

"Good Americans can and should have a free and lively debate about how best to protect our country and expand freedom around the world. But good people – good Americans – don't characterize the U.S. as "a murderous empire that has killed 1 million civilians in Iraq alone." That's what bad people do."

Severe credibility problem

"Islamic countries passed this [U.N] resolution to protect religion from hatred and intolerance, then they and their motion have a severe credibility problem. "

The United Nations: Islam’s Gestapo

By Stephen Brown

Nepotism, corruption, anti-Semitism and now censorship.

While the United Nations has disgraced itself over the years with sporadic eruptions of the first three negatives, it added another one last March 28 when its Human Rights Council passed a disturbing resolution that directs the body’s expert on free speech to report on “individuals and news media for negative comments on Islam.” In effect, the UN will now become the Islamic world’s censorship watchdog, snooping out undefined acts of Islamophobia around the globe. Continued...

American academia, a complicity of silence

"...at George Washington and countless other schools across the country, groups ranging from the Muslim Students Association to the College Democrats – to even the College Republicans – have been unwilling to condemn these and other affirmations of hatred when they concern Islamic militants."

GW Students Refuse To Condemn Genocide

By FrontPage Magazine

When George Washington University senior Sergio Gor tried to get campus student groups to sign a Declaration Against Genocide last week, he thought it would be a no-brainer. Who, after all, wouldn't support a statement endorsing such uncontroversial tenets as the "right of all people to live in freedom and dignity," the equal dignity of men and women, and the freedom of conscience? Continued...

Defeat of Ideology of no Ideology

"Among a few unlucky words in the American political vocabulary the word IDEOLOGY is perhaps the unluckiest one."

Why the Nation is armless in struggle with ideological enemies
by Boris Tiraspolsky

In his article 'Day of Reckoning': A Review of Pat Buchanan's Latest Book' Tony Blankley writes: "As my friend always does in his books, brother Patrick combines shrewd analysis and his own crisp and passionate words with wonderful quotes from others. He quotes George Orwell's observation that "ideology animates 'the streamlined men who think in slogans and talk in bullets.'" That description remains as fresh as this evening's cable political talk shows and news reports. I cite that quote because, for me, one of the strongest elements in "Day of Reckoning" is Buchanan's remorseless assault on ideology -- whether being used by imperialists, free traders or cultural manipulators. This may sound surprising to some because these days, many people both on the left and right proudly support their respective ideologies. But like Buchanan, I was educated in an age when conservatives proudly asserted that conservatism was, by definition, the absence of ideology. Ideology was -- and remains -- the product of intellectuals who substitute for the wisdom of the ages, the organic unfolding of their institutions, the teachings of their faith and common sense their own fanatical belief that their ideas can (in Russell Kirk's words) convert our world "into a terrestrial paradise through the operation of positive law and positive planning." Or as Pat writes: "Ideology has one foot grounded in reality, but the other is ever on quicksand. For no one can know the future. Yet the True Believer has moral certitude, for his ideology foretells a future certain to come if the sacrifices are sufficient and the anointed leaders are faithfully followed." And with that bit in his teeth, Pat runs riot through the ideologies of free trade, Bushian wars-for-democracy arguments and open borders theories. It is not only honest, solid historic reporting but also splendid, angryprose."

The following is not a review on the review by Tony Blankley. The quote from the article by Tony Blankley clearly defines three major general categories of the American people:

1. Those who minds are being infiltrated with “wrong ideologies“;
2. Those who are preaching “ideology of no ideology”;
3. Those who are choosing between “wrong ideologies” and “ideology of no ideology”.

I tend to think that this definition is more precise then a simple and commonly accepted division on "liberals" and "conservatives".

The only problem is that neither of the defined above categories of the American people is able to develop superior anti-terrorist Ideological Instruments, nor become Ideological Force necessary for “ideological struggle of the 21st century” - global battle with Islamic jihadists waged total war against the United States. (Read more...)

Among a few unlucky words in the American political vocabulary the word IDEOLOGY is perhaps the unluckiest one. A recent book by Pat Buchanan just adds another drop in already full basket of negative connotations related to the word IDEOLOGY.

The problem of misunderstanding and misinterpreting the word IDEOLOGY by the American intellectuals and consequently by the majority of the American people results in a lack of general ideological awareness of the Nation. Consequently, it causes the current ideological defeat of the United States in global battle with Terror.

Let me define again the word IDEOLOGY. “The original meaning of the word “ideology” is “the Science of ideas and ideals“. Ideology specifically identifies practical usage of ideas that originate from the Progress of human Ethics - principles of moral conduct, and Esthetics - perception of beauty and ugliness. Needless to stress that both, Ethics and Esthetics are literally shaping a civilized society.” (Read more...)

There is no doubt that a massive misuse of “principles of moral conduct” and abuse of “perception of beauty and ugliness” in the modern History are among major contributors to a negative perception related to the word IDEOLOGY.

However, misusing and abusing Ethics and Esthetics have nothing to do with IDEOLOGY, but with men lacking PRINCIPLES of Ethics and Esthetics, and more precisely - absolute Ethics and perfect Esthetics.

For anyone who still thinks that such PRINCIPLES do not exist I highly recommend to read works by Abraham Lincoln and the text of the Constitution of the United States being a full embodiment of absolute Ethics and perfect Esthetics for the last more then 200 years.

The latter makes the Constitution of the United States the most powerful Ideological Instrument of the modern History in battle with Terror (Read more... ), and the People of the United States responsible for the further Progress of the Ideology of the U.S. Constitution. (Read more...)

The failure of American political leadership

"The failure of American political leadership to clearly and unequivocally define its enemy in terms of Islamist terror organizations remains a key weakness in American national security."

Where Does America Draw the Line on Consorting with Terror Groups?
By Jeffrey Imm

According to the U.S. State Department's Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) listing, Hamas is a terrorist organization. It is a federal crime to provide "material support or resources" to a designated FTO. But the Washington Post, the New York Times, at least one of the Holy Foundation Trial criminal trial jurors, and Mr. Jimmy Carter do not accept that Hamas is a terrorist organization. Mr. Carter is meeting with the Hamas terrorist group and seeks to influence American foreign policy in regards to that group. As Mr. Carter embraces members of the Hamas terrorist group, what are the consequences of American tolerance of those who defend, consort with, and provide a platform of legitimacy for terrorist groups? Continued...

Pit of hypocrisy and moral squalor

"Terrorists may skillfully mislead you about their original intent, but their “common goal” is always to kill you. They may have a friendly smile on their faces, wearing suicide bomber belts at the same time. They may tell you the truth you also agree with, but the goal is the same. They may join you to fight their rivals, the “common goal” never changes. They may live next door and treat you as the best neighbor and friend, the “final” goal is still to kill you."

A protest on campus VT for April 16

"The massacre at Virginia Tech last year occurred on a campus that already maintained a strict ban on guns. In fact, it was part of a state university system that had only recently banned all guns on campuses – even for those with carry permits. So my question is: Besides the current permanent, no-exceptions ban on all civilian firearms on campus, what exactly do these protesters have in mind?"

Lethal disconnect at Virginia Tech

I'm starting to wonder: What exactly are they teaching students at Virginia Tech? This question came to me as I was reading about a protest planned on campus for April 16, the one-year anniversary of the massacre by a crazed gunman of 32 people. What is the protest about? It is to demand stricter gun control. Continued...

Absence of the rule of law

"The old totalitarianism in Russia was, as George Orwell described it, “a lawless order.” The new totalitarianism is a lawless disorder."

Fighting for Freedom
by J. R. Nyquist

At the end of Pete Earley’s book, Comrade J, Russian master spy Sergei Tretyakov tells why he defected to the United States seven years ago. It had to do with his “growing disgust and contempt for what has happened and is happening in Russia.” According to Tretyakov, he and his wife were not naïve about the “immorality, cruelty, repression, and ineffectiveness” of the former Soviet regime. “Yet it was our motherland,” he said, “which, like your parents, you cannot choose.” He was hopeful when Gorbachev arrived on the scene. “I believed that Gorbachev would start a new era of democratization in the Soviet Union.” The outcome of Gorbachev’s reforms, however, was hardly encouraging. “The economy collapsed, and people became desperate and miserable,” Tretyakov explained. “Since then Russia has been repeatedly raped and looted by its leadership. I call this process GENOCIDE of the Russian people performed by a group of immoral criminals.” Continued...

The redefinition of free trade

"America today is the Spain of the 16th century – forsaking its manufacturing base for the privilege of buying cheap goods from foreign manufacturers. The U.S. pays not with gold, but with dollars that are increasingly losing their value and trade debt that can never be repaid."

Trading away our freedom
by Ideological Warrior of the Nation - Joseph Farah

I've always been sort of agnostic when it comes to "free trade." On the one hand, I could see the economic benefits of truly "free" trade. Yet, on the other hand, I could definitely see some real problems with what is often mistakenly referred to as "free trade" in the world today. Continued...

Ahmadinejad and Chavez - common ground

"The enigma is what common ground could there be between a leftist, populist leader like Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, whose broad vision is a somewhat ill-defined, unified Latin America as Simon Bolivar dreamt of, to a radically conservative religious leader who theistic vision seems to be a world controlled by Sharia law, like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran."

The Golden Future of America

"The idea of a Golden Age has had a profound impact on the western thought. There is no doubt that the Golden Age was a realistic dream on minds of “the architects of These States ” too."

The Road Map to the Future of the Nation
By Boris Tiraspolsky
Founding Member of
"How used you the Great Seal of England?"
"To crack nuts with!"
Mark Twain, The Prince and the Pauper

Great American poet and philosopher Walt Whitman once said about America: "The architects of These States laid their foundations, and passed to further, spheres... Now are needed other architects, whose duty is not less difficult, but perhaps more difficult. Each age forever needs architects. America is not finished, perhaps never will be; now America is a divine true sketch."

These remarkable words about America being a “sketch” of “useful Arts”, were written about hundred fifty years ago. Therefore, there is a great deal of a need for a careful inspection of how America evolved from “a divine true sketch” of “useful Arts” into a divine true masterpiece it was originally intended to be by “the architects of These States”. Let’s take a look at the “true sketch” and boldly compare it to Reality we are currently in.

We casually encounter the “divine true sketch” every day, by picking up a dollar bill from our pockets. The “divine true sketch” is the Great Seal of the United States. However, a very few people know about profound meaning of this national Emblem. No wonder! The significance of the Great Seal of the United States along with a responsibility for teaching how to read, write and count have been overlooked by our Public Educators for a sake of teaching how to use condoms and how to “feel good about yourself”.

As a result, since the time of Walt Whitman we found ourselves being bankrupts that still bragging to be bankers, moralists proud to be hypocrites, judges devoted to petty issues of “political correctness” instead of the Supreme Law of the Land, leaders proclaiming own immature actions as a responsible leadership, arts becoming useless, and shamelessly turned into portraying sexual deviations... Is this a “masterpiece” we intend to passe to “further, spheres...” ourselves? No, this is not!

Lucky we are! We always have the “divine true sketch” before our eyes, and, therefore, we all have a never exhausted opportunity to return to original principals of “the architects of These States”. We just need to look at the “sketch” again and strongly remind ourselves who we are, and what we do, or rather what we originally were ordered to do on the Historic Stage.

On the obverse of the Great Seal of the United States “Eagle displayed, on the Summit of a Doric Column“, and “the Shield is born on the breast of an American Eagle without any other supporters, to denote that the United States of America ought to rely on their own Virtue". This is the key Principle for defining the Nation’s Mission on the Historic Stage and identifying National Character being able of accomplishing that Mission.

The Doric order was the simplest and sturdiest of all three orders of the ancient Greek architecture. It directly points out to the Golden Age, that is the ultimate dream of everlasting peace, prosperity, and joy for people on the earth. However, the Golden Age is not just one of those utopist dreams that may never come true. The Golden age is the historic precedent. It had happened once in the real life and therefore, can and must happen again.

The true historic existence of the Golden Age is described  by Greek poet Hesiod, and later confirmed by great Greek philosophers Plato, and Greek poet Ovid.

Hesiod tells of "A golden race of mortal men who lived in the time of Kronos when he was reigning in heaven. And they lived like gods without sorrow of heart, remote and free from toil: miserable age rested not on them . . . The fruitful earth unforced bare them fruit abundantly and without stint. They dwelt in ease and peace upon their lands with many good things."

Similarly writes Ovid in the sixth book of his Metamorphoses: "In the beginning was the Golden Age, when men of their own accord, without threat of punishment, without laws, maintained good faith and did what was right. . . . The earth itself, without compulsion, untouched by the hoe, unfurrowed by any share, produced all things spontaneously. . . . It was a season of everlasting spring."

In Works and Days Hesiod divided time into five ages:--the Golden age, ruled by Cronos,"these days are a great blessing to men on earth" when people lived extremely long lives "without sorrow of heart"; the Silver age, ruled by Zeus; the Bronze age, an epoch of war; the Heroic age, the time of the Trojan war; and lastly the Iron age, the corrupt present. The idea of a Golden Age has had a profound impact on the western thought. There is no doubt that the Golden Age was a realistic dream on minds of “the architects of These States ” too.

The most eloquent part of the Great Seal of the United States leading to the aspirations of the Golden Age is  three Latin mottos: “E pluribus unum” (Out of many one), “Annuit coeptis" (He has favored all our undertakings), and "Novus ordo seclorum" (New order of ages). These three mottos precisely define the Nation’s Historic Mission on the Historic Stage: to always strive for forming the future Golden Age, and identify key property of National Character necessary for forming the Golden Age. (Read More... )

These mottos directly correlate to the Preamble of the Constitution of the United States that orders “to form a more perfect Union”. However, the amazing thing is that all these profound philosophical concepts are present and naturally involved in every day life of all American people. There is no man, woman, or even child in the United States who is deprived from possessing them. Moreover, all these ideas are an integral part of the “exchange of values” on the Market Place, and the “blood circulation” of the Nation.

There is no American who does not have this “divine true sketch” of “useful Arts” in his possession. It is always available for checking the road map to the future of the Nation - the Golden Age. It always  reminds the true Historic Mission of the Nation - to set a model of the Golden Age for the rest of the entire World. It points out to a reliance on “own Virtue” by National Character necessary "to form a more perfect Union” with everlasting peace, prosperity and joy for ourselves and our Posterity.
